Welcome to DAV Chapter 129
Welcome to the Robert H. Cox Chapter 129. As a chapter of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) we strive to offer the most up-to-date information and guidance about Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits.

In addition to our services regarding navigating the, often sluggish, VA system we are a home away from home for disabled men AND women veterans. We are a place to connect with fellow Veterans, share stories of service, and be a part of a community of "comrades-in-arms."
We hold monthly meetings on the first Tuesday (1900 hrs) of each month at our historic Red Barn in Shelby Twp, MI. We encourage you to attend and to learn more about how DAV can assist you as you seek your rightful benefiits from the Dept of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Our chapter is a gracious steward of our historic Red Barn renting it out for weddings, wedding receptions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, seasonal parties and other special occasions at a fraction of the price that other banquet centers charge (special discounts to veterans with proof of service/DD Form 214). Plan your next special occasion at our historic Red Barn in Shelby Twp, Michigan by calling (248) 977-7893 for more details.

About Us
Robert H. Cox Chapter 129 was established in 1966. Since that time, we have, and continue to, provide services to veterans across north Macomb and Oakland counties. Our chapter helps veterans navigate the, often cumbersome, Veteran Affairs (VA) system.
With both chapter and national level officers we help our fellow veterans apply for multiple benefits that they are entitled to. Such benefits include: Disability Compensation and Related Compensation benefits, Application for Pension, Notice of Disagreement (NOD), application for DIC, Death Pension, and/or Accrued Benefits, among others.
Each year we hold our largest local fundraiser, the Forget-Me-Not drive. All monies raised through this campaign are strictly dedicated to helping local veterans in need.
Rent the Historic Red Barn
